Some Tips:
If you want a sweeter sorbet, lower the lime juice to 1/4 cup instead.
You can substitute this recipe with any fruit of your choice.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 lb of fruit
- 1/3 cup lime juice
DIRECTIONS:
- Pour the water and sugar into a saucepan then boil on medium heat
- Stir until the sugar is dissolved and then simmer for 5 minutes without stirring
- Pour into a bowl to cool in the fridge
- In a blender or food processor, process the fruit until fairly smooth NOT PUREED
- Add in the syrup you were cooling and the lime juice
- Pulse until all combined
- Put into a pan and freeze for at least 2 hours uncovered
- Use a fork to scrape the frozen edges in and smooth the top again
- Place back into the freezer for an hour
- Mix the base again and then cover it to store
