INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup water
- 8 TBSP butter
- 1/4 TSP salt
- 3/4 TSP cinnamon
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups oil (canola or vegetable)
- 1/2 cup sugar
DIRECTIONS:
- Combine the water, butter, salt, and part (1/4) of the cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat
- Bring to a rolling boil then reduce heat to low
- Add in the flour and stir like you've never stirred before until it forms a ball
- Remove from heat and let it rest for 5-7 minutes
- Add in the eggs one by one stirring until it in combined
- In a medium skillet or saucepan, heat up the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees
- Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip
- Pipe out 1-inch strops of dough over the saucepan and cut it with a knife
- It is done when it has an angelic golden brown color then you can place onto a paper towel
- In another bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon
- Toss the churros into the mixture until its all coated
