CHURROS FROM DISNEYLAND

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup water
  • 8 TBSP butter
  • 1/4 TSP salt
  • 3/4 TSP cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 1/2 cup sugar

DIRECTIONS:

  • Combine the water, butter, salt, and part (1/4) of the cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat
  • Bring to a rolling boil then reduce heat to low
  • Add in the flour and stir like you've never stirred before until it forms a ball
  • Remove from heat and let it rest for 5-7 minutes
  • Add in the eggs one by one stirring until it in combined
  • In a medium skillet or saucepan, heat up the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees
  • Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip
  • Pipe out 1-inch strops of dough over the saucepan and cut it with a knife
  • It is done when it has an angelic golden brown color then you can place onto a paper towel
  • In another bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon
  • Toss the churros into the mixture until its all coated
