Some Tips:
Make sure the butter is just out of the fridge to keep the dough crumbly.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2.5 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1.5 Sticks Butter (Cubed)
- 8 TBSP Iced Water
- 4 Granny Smith Apples
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 3 TBSP All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar
DIRECTIONS:
- Fork together flour and salt
- Add in the cubed butter and use the fork to smoosh it into the dough
- Gradually add in the iced water until all the dough comes together
- With your hands, work with the dough into a disc and saran wrap it. Then place in the fridge
- For the filling, peel and slice the apples to your liking
- In a saucepan, put together the butter and flour then mix until incorporated
- Add in the water, white sugar, and packed brown sugar
- Take off the heat and pour over apples in a bowl then stir
